Your Punctuality Determines Your Credibility
Punctuality is defined as being where you are supposed to be when you are supposed to be. Over the years, our society seems to have lost its sense of urgency when it comes to being on time for anything. To make matters worse, we justify it by saying things like “Everyone else gets to meetings or class a few minutes late so it’s OK for me too.” You may not realize it but when you are not punctual, people make one or more of the following judgments about you.
You Are Unorganized
Being late is not good and racing into a meeting or class out of breath is almost as bad. Figure out ahead of time how long it takes to get somewhere and leave early enough to get there. If you are going from one meeting to another, build in the appropriate amount of travel time. How hard is that?

I’ve become increasingly concerned about the ignorance of Americans - not those who have learned English as a second language, but native English speakers - regardless of race, income level, schooling or other determining factors.
The number of people who read seems to be decreasing in direct proportion to the number of kids growing up with portable dvds, and ipods. Television has become the preferred babysitter for children and the most effective way for adults to anesthetize themselves after a day’s work.
Do junior high schools still pound grammar mind numbingly into the heads of students in English class? Are there any mothers who repeat (daily it seemed to me!) the difference between “lay” and “lie” in hopes that one day their daughter will understand it?

1 commentHow To Achieve High Productivity
Successful people are very productive people. They get a lot more done than the average person because they consider their time to be very valuable and they know how to manage it well. As a result, they get promoted faster, rise to the top of their fields, and get paid more than others. What they do is not rocket science. If you implement the following productivity techniques into your daily routine, you will notice a remarkable change in a very short period of time.
Take Control Over The Telephone
The telephone is the number one cause of disruptions and distractions. Resist the temptation to answer the phone every time it rings unless you are waiting an extremely important call. And no, not every call is extremely important. Let the red voicemail light go, finish what you were working on, and return your calls at your convenience. My clients have told me that this technique alone has made a major difference in their productivity almost from Day 1.
